No. SafeRent is completely free for tenants to create an account, browse properties, and submit rental requests. We do accept voluntary donations during the request process, but they are never mandatory.

When a landlord adds a property, they must upload proof of ownership (like a UPI document) along with their National ID. Our Trust & Safety team manually reviews these documents against the listing details before the property is allowed to go live on the public marketplace.

Yes. To publish properties and make them visible to tenants, landlords must purchase a subscription plan (Basic, Premium, or Enterprise). This flat fee covers the cost of hosting, verification, and our management tools, replacing traditional percentage-based broker commissions.

Once a landlord approves a rental request, SafeRent automatically generates a standardized digital contract containing the agreed-upon terms, dates, and prices. Both the landlord and tenant can review the document in their dashboard and sign it electronically. It is then securely stored for future reference.

We take fraud very seriously. If you encounter a suspicious listing or a user asking for payment outside of the platform, you can immediately report them via the "Safety Center" in your dashboard, or by clicking the "Report" button on the property listing page.
